Many students participated in this year’s school History Fair, which was held on Monday, November 11, 2019. This year’s theme was Breaking Barriers and students spent the past 2 months researching a topic and applying it to the theme, then organizing either a display, a paper, website, or documentary. Most students chose to create a display or write a paper as their final product. Damierra-Joy Mbu and David Villa both scored high marks on their papers and will be moving on to the district fair. Damierra wrote about Katherine Johnson and David wrote about Marie Curie. Ana Arias’s project was on the Bystander Effect. Milka Figueroa and Alexa Ventura focused their project on Madam C.J. Walker. Alexandra Herrera’s project was on Loretta Walsh.
