GRAD Scholars and Scholar club
Two meetings of Scholars took place on November 4 and 11. Most involved Scholars to date were recognized and congratulated. Scholars gained knowledge and understanding about ways to pay for college. A majority of Scholars have participated in a variety of college and career events on and off campus.
CAREER CONVERSATION
A Career Conversation took place on November 14. Guest speaker spoke about their education after high school and some personal background that has them in their career. Guest speaker spoke about their work at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
PARENT WORKSHOP
A parent workshop “Family Night” took place on November 18. A dinner and conversation about ways to pay for college, FASFA, TASFA and other resources were the topics of the event. Parents and students alike learned about grants, scholarships and educational loans.
Student workshop
Information on Graduation plan, Class rank and GPA: On November 21, students were presented information about graduation plan, class rank and GPA and how it related to the college admissions process.
