On Friday, December 13, 2019, Army recruiters were invited to Aldine Ninth Grade. The recruiters spoke with students in JROTC classes about the opportunities and possibilities the Army offers. They also planned an activity for students to build team work and confidence. The recruiters brought a rock climbing wall to the school. Students were challenged to climb the wall and ring the bell at the very top. Hesitant students as well as those who miscued on their first attempt were allowed to reengage and retackle the obstacle. While students awaited their turn to face the challenge, they cheered and encouraged their peers. Joshua Johnson, Emerson Mejia Torres, Kevin Mejia, and Angel Iglesias enjoyed the challenge very much.
